Discover the experience and commitment Attorneys Jimmie Sparrow and Lee Fairchild bring to protecting your rights.
My background has given me a unique perspective and insight into Florida law and its impact on our communities. As a prior Law Enforcement Officer and Detective, I was sworn to protect and serve the community. I upheld state and federal laws, engaged in criminal and family investigations, intervened in disputes with mediation and conflict resolution, and found empathy and compassion for those I encountered.
As a former Florida Prosecutor, I played a pivotal role in the administration of criminal justice. I used critical thinking and analytical skills to seek the truth, bound within the procedural and substantive laws set forth by the State of Florida.
As a lifelong resident of the Sunshine State, I have strong ties to the community and strive to build lasting relationships with those I serve in my law practice. I firmly believe in understanding the human experience behind every case. As a former Public Defender, I represented some of the most vulnerable populations for nearly seven years while gaining invaluable real-world trial experience. Many of my criminal defense cases were deeply intertwined with family law issues.
From there, I transitioned to being the lead attorney at a private law firm where I focused on assisting those charged with crimes or having family law issues. As a managing partner at Sparrow & Fairchild, Attorneys at Law, I am honored to extend my services to the community with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
I was born and raised in North Central Florida, where my family has lived in Marion County since the 1840s. After earning my bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, I spent ten years teaching in Gainesville, Florida, Raleigh, North Carolina, and rural Alabama. During that time, I also earned my master’s degree from the University of West Alabama. Eventually, I decided to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer and went on to graduate from Mercer University School of Law in Macon, Georgia.
Since then, I’ve worked as a law clerk, litigator, and general magistrate, gaining valuable experience across many areas of the law. My practice now focuses on probate, guardianship, guardian ad litem matters, collections, and general civil litigation. With deep roots in this community and a strong commitment to serving others, I approach every case with skill, dedication, and compassion.
